Michael A. Dalton is Principal Consultant for Guided Innovation Group, LLC. - A management consulting practice focused on helping clients grow through marketing and new product & service innovation. Mike is also a member of the Alliance Management Group, Inc. where he consults on Open Innovation and alliance formation and implementation.
Mike has more than 23 years of hands on business leadership experience, and most recently he was global business development director and regional business director for the Johnson Polymer division (now BASF) of the SC Johnson family of companies. Johnson was the leading supplier of environmentally driven polymer technology for the printing and packaging and paint and coatings industries. Mike has grown new and existing businesses and served in a variety of business leadership, technology, marketing, and manufacturing management roles for SC Johnson. He was also President and CEO for Codaco Inc., a Johnson Polymer investment in adhesive and ink jet technology, and was a board member for Spectra-Kote Corp. a Johnson Polymer investment in the rapidly growing recyclable packaging market.
Mike is an experienced industrial marketing practitioner and has worked extensively with Dr. James Hlavacek, author of “Profitable Top Line Growth for Industrial Companies” and Managing Director of The Corporate Development Institute. Mike currently serves as an advisor at the CATI (Center for Advanced Technology & Innovation) - a Southeastern Wisconsin based non-profit focused on regional economic development through technology & innovation. Mike has a Chemical Engineering degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago. He also studied Energy and Gas Technology at The Gas Technology Institute.
